Is it actually spicy?

Oh yes! This is the hottest of our three new rice mixes. 🌶️🌶️🌶️

We’ve packed this one with warming biryani-style spices and chilli for a proper kick. So if you like your food with a bit of heat, this is the one for you!

If you’re after something milder, our Korma with a Kick has a gentle chilli warmth, while our Lamb Biryani sits in the middle at a medium heat.

Does it contain beef?

Yes. The mix contains beef stock powder, giving the rice its deliciously savoury beef flavour.

There aren’t pieces of beef in the mix, but you can absolutely add cooked beef if you’d like to make it a more substantial meal.

Why buy a rice mix when I could make a biryani myself?

You could – and if you’ve already got all the spices and ingredients in your cupboard, making your own gives you complete control.

But we’ve done the measuring and mixing for you. The rice, beef stock and blend of aromatic spices are ready to go, so there’s no weighing out half a dozen spices or trying to get the balance right.

Just add water, cook and serve.

What does it taste like?

It’s rich, savoury, spicy and seriously full of flavour.

There’s beef stock, tomato and a generous blend of coriander, cumin, turmeric, fenugreek, cardamom, fennel, ginger, garam masala and cloves, finished with chilli for that all-important kick.

And that’s where the Bangin’ comes in! 😉

Do I need to add anything?

No. Just add water, cook and serve.

It’s great on its own, but you can add cooked beef, chicken or vegetables if you want to make it into a bigger meal.

Is it a traditional biryani?

It’s a biryani-style rice dish, inspired by the aromatic spices and flavours associated with biryani rather than claiming to be a traditional regional recipe.

We’ve made it to be easy, convenient and – most importantly – full of flavour.

How can I serve it?

Enjoy it on its own or serve with naan bread, poppadoms, salad or your favourite curry accompaniments.

And because it’s got a good amount of heat, a cooling yoghurt-style accompaniment can be particularly good alongside it.

Is it gluten-free?

Yes. Bangin’ Beef Biryani Rice Mix is gluten-free.

It does contain beef, so it isn’t suitable for vegetarians or vegans. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please check the full ingredient and allergen information before ordering.

For anyone who loves big flavours, warming spices and a proper chilli kick, but doesn’t want to spend ages preparing a biryani from scratch.

4 Serving Method:
Add the packet contents, including the stock sachet, to a pan with 1500ml of cold water.
Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and then simmer for 20-30 minutes until the rice is cooked and the veg is soft.
Stir regularly. Season to taste. Remove the Bay Leaf and Serve.
Option: Add cooked lamb or other meat and serve with naan bread and/or poppadums.
Min Weight: 340g

2 Serving Method:
Add the packet contents, including the stock sachet, to a pan with 750ml of cold water.
Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and then simmer for 20-30 minutes until the rice is cooked and the veg is soft.
Stir regularly. Season to taste. Remove the Bay Leaf and Serve.
Option: Add cooked lamb or other meat and serve with naan bread and/or poppadums.
Min Weight: 170g

12 Serving Catering Pack Method:
Add the packet contents, including the stock sachets, to a large pan with 4500ml of cold water.
Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes until the rice is cooked and the veg is soft.
Remove the Bay Leaf and Serve.
Optional extra – Add cooked lamb or other meat and serve with naan bread and/or poppadums.
